Hi Starling Subscriber!
In following are instructions for setting your Username on the Discussion Forum to what you want it to be.
It is important that you set this Username to what you want it to be before you post or reply to anything.
To do this, sign into the forum (if not already signed in) with your Starling Subscriber credentials (email and password), then you will see a circle with a UPPERCASE letter in it on the upper right portion of the screen.
Click/tap on that and you will see a drop-down thingie appear with two symbols appearing below that circle with the UPPERCASE letter.
Click/tap on the gear symbol (one that is the farthest to the right of the screen) and you will see your User Profile.
Near the top of that User Profile, you will see a category called Username. The Name displayed there is the name that will be visible when you Create Topics and Make Replies.
It is likely that you will want to change this Username because it is the one that was automatically assigned to you when you signed up to be a Starling Subscriber. Even if you changed this Username in the WordPress dashboard, that change will not be reflected here. So, take the time before you Create Topics or Make Replies to change this Username to what you want to be publicly known as.
To make this change, simply click/tap on the pencil icon next to the Username and edit the name to what you want it to be. When satisfied, click Change button. A prompt will come up asking if you are sure you want to change this name. If so, click Yes. If not, click No.
The system will then save those changes and your new Username will be set.
That’s it!
