Hello fellow musicians and composers. Music is fun, isn’t it?
Well no, it can be a pain-in-the-ass motherfucker bitch that you wish you never met. But what you gonna do about them muses?
Well, because of my illustrious experience as a composer and musician and because of my impeccable musical/artistic taste, I wanted to take the chance to extend a helping hand to all those fledgling musicians and composers that are struggling in the trenches of creative warfare.
Think of me as your general on the front lines. Yes, I actually come up the front lines to help you fight those nasty muse bitches when they won’t yield their fruit. I get inspired to help you fight the good fight!
This Punk Rock dude I helped
For example, I worked with this punk rock composer who wanted to finish his album and put it out so other people could benefit from it.
I listened to the 10 or so tracks he sent me from his Sound Cloud and identified the 3 tracks that had the most potential as hit singles.
Then I selected one of those three tracks to begin even more advanced musicological analysis!
In the first song that had the most commercial potential, he had this killer punk intro, but it was twice as long as it needed to be before it jumped into the first verse of the song. This killed the energy of the song from the outset, I told him to cut the intro motive in half, and the results were stellar. He also had a killer ending to the song that drove the song to a climactic finish with a swirling bleeding-into-the-cosmos guitar. But then he had this new part in the song right before that killer ending that was cool in and of itself, but didn’t belong with that song as it had developed. I told him to cut that part out and just drive to that killer swirly guitar ending. All he had to do was take a couple of things away from the song and it was vastly improved. But do you think he knew that? That’s why I’m paid the big bucks. I know what sounds good. I know what sells. I know what people will listen to.
My punk rock friend also had no vocals on most of the tracks and upon questioning into the matter, revealed that he had issues with his voice. I inquired further. There was one track that had vocals on it, but they were very weak and unsure sounding, almost spoken, like a Cake song (band from the 90’s). I told him “Look, you can play aggressive guitars, drums, and bass on all these tracks. You’re basically punk-rock. The vocals need to match that energy, not this Cake shit” My primary critique was that his vocal delivery just needed MUCH MORE ENERGY!
I told him to just take the most promising song that we were working on and deliver the vocal with fucking energy!
Lo and behold, because of my tutelage, because of my care, he stepped to the mic and let it rip. He unblocked emotionally, and now the energy of the vocals matched the energy of the guitars, bass, and drums. He was in business!
Following the momentum he had developed on this track, he went on to make significant progress on his album, focusing on the three tracks that had the most promise. He moved past his emotional blockage and started delivering kick-ass vocals that matched his punk rock songs.
How I Help
- I cut to the core of a song
- I support the artist while at the same time giving a realistic appraisal of what they are currently capable of
- I identify what is derailing you in your life away from music
Here’s an example of one of my tracks. Unmixed. Unmastered. But a basic musical impulse with vocals, guitar, and some piano. This is what you need. We’ll take it from there.

Blake, I have a darned simple question.
But I think it is the best damn question about INFJs that has ever been asked on this site:
As an INFJ, how can I be authentic?
You can’t be authentic as an INFJ, you can only be authentic as yourself.
