I currently offer consultations in an emergent counseling style via Skype voice services (voice only, no video).
Alternately, I can place a call to your mobile phone or landline if you don’t want to use Skype, however, there is a slight added fee for this option depending on your location by country.
We can also gmail chat if you insist (need gmail account to do this method).
What does “emergent counseling” mean?
Whatever naturally emerges in the scope of a consultation is relevant. This style of counseling begins with a wide aperture that inevitably narrows over the course of a consultation, or more likely, a series of consultations, to a specific theme or set of themes that can become a focus of further exploration.
Reasons to request a consultation
- You have a particular issue that is bothering you and want to discuss it with someone
- You want more personalized attention/information than is available in my articles/comments section
- You want a type-specific solution to a problem
- You need someone to bounce ideas off
- You are having trouble identifying what is an issue or theme of importance in your life
I am open to talking about most things in a consultation with the exception of answering questions about what my type is, what my sign is, what my personal situation is etc. Consultations are designed to focus on your concerns, not mine.
I use Myers-Briggs/Jungian temperament types and the astrological birth chart as a contextual background to your concerns. I do not make them the focus of a consultation unless it seems relevant or you ask me for specific information about them. Otherwise, I tend not to bring them to the fore. I like to stay focused on what is emergent.
I use the temperament type and astrological birth chart to devise custom-tailored solutions to your specific concerns, whatever they may be. I also contextualize what is emergent using these two frameworks.
- 1 hour consult = $60
- 2-pack of 1 hour consults = $110 ($55 each)
- 4-pack of 1 hour consults = $200 ($50 each)
Just got a question you want to ask me?
I charge $25 per question.
Questions are done via email. You can ask me anything you want as long as it doesn’t require revealing personal information about myself (type, astrology sign, relationship status). You can ask me my thoughts on anything. I’ll have answers.
Often, I’ll answer your initial question and then ask for clarification of a specific part of your question, which will then lead to you responding back with the clarification I need and then me giving you a tighter and more specific answer to your question.
Well, I want you to be satisfied. 🙂
Just want me to type you?
I charge $45 for a personality typing session that lasts one hour. I will talk to you for a while (via Skype *voice only* or on your mobile or landline phone), ask you various questions about yourself, and inevitably arrive at an answer. You can then ask me questions about how I arrived at this and I will answer them to your satisfaction. In a nutshell, it’s fun and more conclusive than an online personality test.
I will instruct you how to make payment via Paypal once you have requested and scheduled any of these services with me.
To Request a Consultation (1-Hour Consults or multiples thereof)
Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following information:
- Email (I will assume that this is the email address that you contacted me from)
- A brief description of what you want to consult with me about
- Your Myers-Briggs type (if known. If not known, I can aid in the identification of this)
- Time zone you live in and general availability of day and time within that time zone(for purposes of scheduling a time to consult via Skype voice or mobile/landline phone)
- Your birth data in the form of city, country, date, and time of birth (if don’t know time of birth, or are uncertain of time of birth, or the time of birth that you are giving is an approximation, please state this. This data is used to erect an astrological birth chart to be used as an important contextual framework in the counseling process)
- How many 1-hour consults you wish to purchase (1, 2, or 4-pack)
- Method of Consult (Skype, mobile phone, landline phone, gmail chat)
To Request a Personality Typing Session
Same information as above, except I don’t need your birth data or how many 1-hour consults you want (this is a one-time session). However, you can include birth information if you wish. If you include it, I’m likely to use it. 🙂
Also, I do not offer gmail chat for personality typing sessions. I need to hear your voice.

Testimonials From Former or Current Clients
“Working with Blake has given me unbelievable hope and courage. For a very long time I always felt different or believed there was something wrong with me, but Blake effortlessly showed me the root cause of all that. Pointing out that I need to engage my Ne has proven to be all I ever needed and more. Blake’s work has saved my sanity. And I’m just blown away by his approach to counseling – it’s so refreshing and different. Blake is a genius at understanding types, especially The Intuitives. May he get back in millions how deeply he has touched people’s hearts.”
“The most valuable thing that Blake provides is a nonjudgmental listening and advising. I feel like nothing can really shock him. I have absolutely no problem discussing issues with him that are really private to me.
Blake seems to know a lot about relationships, so his experience in that area is valuable to me as well.
His consulting method, Sherlock Holmes style, helps uncover some deep hidden issues. ”
“ Initially I contacted Blake because I was curious to learn how I can improve my creative process. Blake had written these intriguing posts on how an INFJ should activate their Fe, yet, that sounded to me as if I was asked to grow a set of wings. Probably also because, as it turned out after some intensive discussions with Blake, I had misidentified myself. Learning more about what my actual type is (INFP) and how my cognitive functions work has been hugely useful for me. In this process, over several consults, I really appreciated Blake’s somewhat oblique but thorough method, his deep knowledge on a huge variety of topics, and most of all getting me to laugh about myself. I gained some much needed distance and perspective. As to the issue of creativity, Blake has given my some valuable tools and all the support I needed at the time.
I would very much recommend consulting with Blake for anyone curious about learning more about themselves, about cognitive functions, or just needing some inspiration or guidance.”
“Blake is gifted in picking up on relevant themes running through a person’s written/verbal expression and then exploring those points in an open-minded and nonjudgmental way which encourages the person toward progress in their own journey.
I would recommend his consultation service for those who would like to talk through issues with a counselor who combines his quick intellect, keen insights, and respectful affability to help a person help themselves.”
“I spoke to Blake because I was confused about my type. I thought it was important to know whether I was an INFP or an INFJ. Blake’s friendly, experienced and honest conversation gave me insight into myself, answered my questions, and most importantly gave me someone to talk to in the most unique way. He understands all this type stuff on another level, and he’s cool and nice and friendly, and fun.”
“Blake helped me interpret my personality type with a depth that online tests can’t do justice.
His broad outlook on life enabled me to talk with him about multiple issues of concern such as my divorce, difficulties with dating, work, and my love for music. ”
“I’m consulting with Blake because I want a view that is relatively unbiased, not expectation driven and doesn’t push cultural norms on me.
Blake is very nonjudgmental and relaxed about consulting. He has the courage and self-confidence to give me his very unique opinion – which is very rare nowadays – without pushing his views on me.
Blake has no problem admitting when he is wrong – I admire that greatly.
More importantly, Blake gives me the confidence and encouragement to go off the beaten path and wander around in weird places that are hard to do without someone telling me that it’s ok and I’m not a bad person for it and there are other people like me.”
