Run Away From Your Problems

September 11, 2025 By blake@stellarmaze.com 19 Comments

Why do you have a problem in the first place? Funny thing, think about it. What’s a problem? And why do you have one?

What if the problem you think you have is not the problem at all?

What if your problem just goes away if you stop trying to solve the problem you think you have.

The Nodal Axis of the Moon

There is this one factor in all astro charts of my clients that gets big hits every time I do chart readings: The Nodal Axis of the Moon!

The Nodal axis of the Moon indicates just where people think they have this big fucking problem on one side (the South Node) when sitting on the other side of the axis (the North Node) is not only a solution, but a whole world of unexplored treasures that once they start going in that direction, they forget they had a problem in the first place.

The Caveat

The problem is that the client doesn’t know anything about that other side of the axis, it’s like “How the other half lives”. It’s like how donuts become holes. It’s like trying to explain the color orange to a blind person.

Nope, they keep digging in their heels in this overdone direction (South Node) and stupidly keep plowing away hoping to solve the problem by being steeped in the problem. The problem is that they keep trying to solve the problem with more of the problem. Their whole world becomes colored with THE PROBLEM.

And that’s a problem.

So, the solution is to RUN AWAY FROM YOUR PROBLEM.

Makes sense doesn’t it? If you have a problem and you can only make it worse by constantly attending to it, then why don’t you get the hell away from it?

How do you do this?

The North Node.

What is the North Node?

The North Node is that thing on the complete opposite side of the axis to the South Node, like literally 180 degrees away (as far as you can get from something).

Yes, we take leave, we take flight and take a motherfucking vacation from our woes. Isn’t that nice?

And then we land on the other side happy and carefree.

Caveat 2

Well no, not quite. Because this other side of the Nodal Axis of The Moon represents something scary, untested, and alien. Not only do we not have any problems here, we have no experience of it at all. It’s like if we were blind our whole lives, but through the wonders of modern medicine, all of a sudden can see. And this has happened to people. They regain their sight and in the beginning everything is blurry and there are all these colors and information that the brain is like “wtf!”

Another way to look at it

It’s like if you were a poor person and all of a sudden you were catapulted to the land of the rich! Now whadya do? How do you act? What are the protocols? You don’t feel comfortable with all these high-rollers.

Ah! I wanna go back to the slums!

But

That poor person has taken the first step in the successful navigation of the Nodal axis of the Moon: they have taken leave of their problems (being poor) and been catapulted by some unknown entity (God, me) to the land of milk and honey (the North Node).

Now the problems this person has are only problems of newness and lack of experience.

But trust me this is so refreshing when compared to the problems they left behind.

A more relatable problem

Like let’s say you have been trying to solve a relationship problem for the longest of time, but are having no success. You are exhausted, you are at wit’s end. In fact, you are about to have a nervous breakdown if you have to look at this person one second longer, much less talk to them for the thousandth time trying to negotiate a solution as to why you two can’t make it anymore.

Has it ever occurred to you that the best way to solve this problem is just leave the motherfucking person and go somewhere else. That’s it. Caput. Just bye.

All these things they think they have to do in their head about how to salvage this relationship, all the concessions and trickeries they will have to employ, and how many years this is taking off their life…

And then they just leave it all behind.

Well, with people that have the Scorpio position of the South Node, this is exactly what they need to do. But because they’re so other-oriented and feel so dependent on having a mate, they will do everything in their power to STAY with their mate, no matter what.

The first step with a nodal axis problem is to just fucking leave! You leave one end and go as far away from the problem as you can (to the North Node).

Stop trying to solve a problem with more of the problem.

Because as Mr. Albert Einstein said “You can’t solve a problem on the same level it was created”.

More to come on this most illustrious of points in the astro-chart next time.

As always, thanks so much, Blake. What might problem-solving look like at the Gemini South Nord level? I read everywhere: go make small talks or contribute to local communities. I try, I do, but I still feel exhausted.

Focus on the bigger picture, aim, what the end game is? Don’t get scattered.

Sorry, I wrote it wrong, I meant North Node in Gemini.

Sorry, I wrote it wrong, I meant North Node in Gemini.

What’s the house position of your North Node?

It is in the third house.

If you’re an INFJ, or anything close to it, I’d interpret a Sagittarius South Node as “the voice crying in the wilderness” of Jung’s description of the Introverted Intuitive Type in his book Psychological Types.

“Since he tends to rely exclusively upon his vision, he makes himself and his life symbolic, adapted, it is true, to the inner and eternal meaning of events, but unadapted to the actual present-day reality.”

The “actual present-day reality” Jung speaks of is like what the third house North Node represents in this case (which is the house version of the sign Gemini, so you got a double whammy nodal axis)

Jung continues about the inability of the introverted intuitive to bring himself to bear on actual present-day reality.

“Therewith he also deprives himself of any influence upon it, because he remains unintelligible. His language is not that which is commonly spoken — it becomes too subjective. His argument lacks convincing reason. He can only confess or pronounce. His is the ‘voice of one crying in the wilderness’. “

Remaining unintelligible. That is the real problem I see of an INFJ (or Ni-heavy person) having this position of the Moon’s nodes.

Now, I saw you said in another comment that you work in a club where you mediate between foreigners and locals, but you get bored.

I think this is the right general gist of going in the direction of Gemini/third house North Node, but if you are an INFJ or anything close to it, the problem is there is too much Si in this environment, which sounds like part of the reason you are getting exhausted, and because you take each little communication ‘too seriously”. While it is true that Gemini has everything to do with making “small talk” as an antidote to the matters of great weight and import of Sagittarius, if you’re an intuitive type you won’t be happy doing this even if you have the North Node in both Gemini and third house (a double Gemini theme).

You’d wanna be in an environment where instead of talking to people about tomato harvests and other Si bullshit, you were in an area you are truly interested in, like maybe language, but the application of it would be in asking questions to find out where each person’s head is at on the subject, so you can figure out how to teach them something of a higher order in the realm of language that you are actually interested in, but brought down to the level that they can understand. Gemini is really good at understanding where different people’s heads are at, like I think Barbora was alluding to when she said Gemini is the most tolerant sign.

Sagittarius, on the other hand, only understands where its head is at. Out in the cosmos.

The challenge of a Gemini North Node is to take all that heady wisdom that you have spent lifetimes tuned into and bring it to bear on your “local environment”.

It sounds like you have run away from your problem, but maybe you ran too far.

No problem. Small talk did sound kinda Geminian.
So with Gemini whatever you are called to broaden. Go out and explore. Get more information. Generally speaking.
With Gemini north node it could be a problem of translation and tolerance. Like, you know what you know, but what can you say to make others understand. It might be important to make yourself heard with this placement.
Gemini is the most tolerant sign of them all. Exploring different points of view can also help here. This way round, the goal is known but remember that different roads lead to it.
Instead of don’t get scattered, don’t get stuck.
    What makes you exhausred?

This is a really interesting question, Barbora. I’ve been thinking about it for the second day. And maybe that’s the problem. Let’s say that part of my job is to be present at a so-called club where foreigners come to communicate with locals, or to practice the language, or to solve some bureaucratic issues. And since I know a little bit of the local language, I’m like a mediator who is bombarded from both sides. So here we see the issues of both translation and tolerance. And I have constant stress from the fact that I might misunderstand something, mistranslate something, and there are also a lot of auditory stimuli. And I also have a tendency to take people and their stories, their views, etc. too seriously. I’m like a profiler who doesn’t want to, but subconsciously records it all in my memory. I could take it all easily, for example, talking about this year’s tomato harvest, but I’m a little bored. I guess I’m spoiled and complaining. I get paid to drink coffee and talk…

Can anyone give me a snapshot of North node in Leo, 12th house; South node in Aquarius?

This stuff is fascinating but I don’t know where to begin!

What would be the advice for a person with north node in Leo in the 12th house be? Everyone I show my chart to never responds, which leads me to believe my chart is cursed or something 😅

OK, I’ll bite since I wouldn’t want you to feel unworthy of attention, which might be important here with Leo North Node.
What does Leo want? To shine. To be admired. To express happily and creatively its beautiful shiny self. The twelfth house is (among other things) the house of healing. So that might give us a general idea.
Leo north node in the twelfth house might mean that you need to heal your ability to express yourself creatively and joyfully. This ability might have been wounded and/or fractured. Aquarius (the sign where the south node is) is a great sign with many wonderful qualities, but it is a sign of trauma. On top of that, the sixth house could imply that you might have felt or even were made feel guilty or ashamed of your “specialness”.

I feel I need to clarify the use of quotation marks with “specialness”. I didn’t mean to question your specialness. I just wasn’t sure of the existence of the word specialness in English language.

Thanks so much Barbora! Very helpful. thanks for taking the time to do that, much appreciated. I don’t really mind if no one replies, more that I was taking it as a sign that the universe was trying to block me for some reason which was puzzling.

I’m not sure if I should have added that I have Venus in 12th house.

I wonder then if this has to do with my troubles regarding writing. It’s a dream of mine to be a writer but I’m having a lot of troubles with editing myself. As in I won’t accept anything but the best and if it’s not then I won’t continue 😅

As per Blake’s article then, I wonder how I would be staying in my 6th house currently to be stifling myself (the comfort zone).

Perhaps I should take up one of Blake’s programmes when I have funds to do so.

*also sorry for the duplicate comment, I thought my original comment didn’t upload.

With a Leo North Node, you need to run away from being an audience member and run to the land of being the performer for that audience. Flip the script, yo!

I wonder then if this has to do with my troubles regarding writing. It’s a dream of mine to be a writer but

That’s a typical INFJ dream. Work with many of them in my Action and Accountability Program.

I’m having a lot of troubles with editing myself

A lot of INFJ’s have the problem related to their implied Saturn in Virgo astrological placement, however…

As per Blake’s article then, I wonder how I would be staying in my 6th house currently to be stifling myself (the comfort zone).

The 6th house is the natural house of Virgo. This is the house of editing and perfecting works. You are “comfortable” here, but the solution with your 12th house North Node is to “Let go and let god”. I have a lot of clients with this South Node position. They want control, but the problem is they have spent so long trying to control their lives (their writing, their business, their career) that more control is not the answer. Their luck lies in letting go. It’s like telling an OCD person to be a hippie.

Perhaps I should take up one of Blake’s programmes when I have funds to do so.

I don’t know how many times I have heard INFJs say that. That day will never come, my friend. I will work with you if you decide to invest in yourself. Email me if you are serious.

Blake, what would it mean to have the problem AKA South node in the 12th house? Because it is the hidden house that is difficult to see. I know 6 th house is service and health, sounds boring as a problem solution tbh

This is the opposite problem to our friend Kovac in this comment section. 12th house South Node people have a problem of hanging out in eternity waiting for something to happen. Looking for signs etc.

What they need to do is get a job.

And make that job their everything. This will teach them everything they need to know to correct their long-standing evolutionary condition of being a near-do-well.

In addition, people with 12th house South Node just need a total lifestyle overhaul. They need sensible diet, work, hygiene habits. They need structure in their daily lives. And they need to show up for it whether the universe is telling them to or not.

It may sound boring but it’s actually quite refreshing for people that have spent all this time in this formless eternity that becomes dead, and often people that have this problem are sick. Like actual drug addicts and frequenters of rehabs, jails, and psychiatric facilities.

Seriously, what will clear this pattern up is getting the fuck out it and cleaning up, finding a work that you like, and setting your life up around doing that work to make sure you show up for that work. You treat that job as your lifeline, and you make sure you show up for it by supporting the life around that job with going to bed at a sensible hour (rest/downtime), good exercise regime (cardio/movement/physical vitality), eat sensibly, stimulation habits (don’t overstimulate yourself with information or substances too close to bedtime). Shit like that is stuff that people (especially NF types) that have this South Node position don’t even consider as a way to solve their problem, and they are specifically unlikely to know they have a problem with this particular nodal position. Denial.

Thank you for your eye opening reply to my comment Blake. “Get a job” is such a mundane thing that a NF doesn’t concern themselves with because it is said by everyone, even SpongeBob. Like, no way that shit applies to me.

Needed to hear that, still. 12th house is such an invisible burden

Is karma mocking me by placing part of fortune, south node, chiron and venus in the same darn 8th house in aries? Should i dig a hole and hide in stead of running from my problems?

Of course karma is mocking you. You know the universe revolves around you.

Should i dig a hole and hide in stead of running from my problems?

What are you, Alice in Wonderland?

No, what I would suggest is run to the land of the rich. I’m liable to talk more about that in the next part of the next part of the article in this series.
