The Jupiterian INFJ: God’s Gift to Heaven

July 11, 2025 By blake@stellarmaze.com 1 Comment

The Jupiterian INFJ is very gifted but they coast too much on their potential, often without developing it.

The Dude is actually a very good example of a Jupiter INFJ. Look how charmed he is. Look how he enters life and there is this LARGER PLAN going on that he stumbles into. He is the hero in this epic, but he is no solar hero taking the hero’s journey.

He’s plugging into a divinity rather than taking an active role in shaping anything.

Brando is an excellent example of the life theme I see with many Jupiterian INFJs. They start out life gifted but then become disenchanted with worldly ambition, quite the opposite of The Saturnian INFJ. This interview shows small-minded Connie Chung not understanding the immensity of Marlon Brando’s spirituality, something that is beyond her. It is sad to watch Brando basically say that it’s all a pile of shit. I feel when watching this clip we are watching a great modern day philosopher that has been to the mountain of fame and pussy and money. And to top it all off, Brando was, and is, considered one of, if not the greatest actor of all time.

William Blake

The man who walked with angels, the man who might as well been in Heaven already. Or in Hell. And he wrote a poem called The Marriage of Heaven and Hell. Very much concerned with religious themes these Jupiterian INFJs. Blake was an amazing painter and poet that literally saw into the spiritual plane. He was touched by something beyond.

Socrates

Socrates is on this list because he looks like William Blake. I originally thought Socrates was an ENTP,  but now think that he’s a Jupiterian INFJ. He seems among the most instructive for this Jupiterian approach to life: philosophical, clownish, playing the Holy Fool.

Socrates believed all knowledge is impossible. Now that seems like a refutation of that INFJ Ni-Ti loop! Socrates never wrote anything down. That was Plato’s job. Socrates strikes me as someone that was already in Heaven, so to speak, just not on this plane really. Isn’t Socrates where ironic detachment comes from?

And we all know the Socratic method, don’t we? Just pretend that nothing is known and that we must inquire for ourselves in every regard to find the truth. And the truth is that nothing is knowable.

“Let me tell you about heartache and the loss of god, wandering, wandering in hopeless night.” – Jim Morrison

“God is dead. And we have killed him” (and this is a great tragedy) – Nietzsche

The greatest tragedy

The loss of god.

Now, Excess

Overingulgence in food and drink is how many of these Jupiterian INFJs get fat, but as they say, “The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom”. Just keep being philosophical and you’ll be okay, you can get as fat as you want. Also if you marry badly, you can always be a philosopher. And if you marry well, you’ll be happy. Socrates said that.

But now there’s no getting around it, these Jupiterian INFJs seem to start out blessed and then because they have about zero inclination to work, and because they have maximum need to indulge the senses, they get a little fat, and then sometimes they get a lot fat, and they lose that former state of grace where everyone thought they were god’s gift to women.

But, I think it’s the loss of THE SPIRITUAL that leads to this going-to-seed of the Jupiterian INFJ. They lose the belly of god, and then they grow a belly and then they become Fat Elvis.

But you ain’t nothing but a hound dog, baby.

You ain’t caught no rabbits, so you ain’t no friend of mine.

Anyway, in short, this is a much larger problem with devastating ramifications for the Jupiterian INFJs who are so plugged into the spirit. As I said in my Sagittarius personality article: “Without their signature INSPIRATION, they are all show and no go”

So, the loss of god, the death of god are the greatest tragedies because god is what inspires. I think the word INSPIRE literally/etymologically means the intake of god’s breath or spirit into yourself, that’s what it means to be inspired. Without god, how are we to go on? What can take the place of god?

Nietzsche’s answer to this was ubermensch, to become like gods ourselves.

I think this is what led to his breakdown. This would be called HUBRIS. I don’t see that as a satisfactory answer, and it’s a dangerous answer.

The philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer’s before him, his answer was to lead an artistic life, or rather to take a buddhistic refuge in art and aesthetics.

But Nietzsche saw that as cold and a copout.

I can agree with that.

Art isn’t the complete answer, because without god, life has no inherent meaning, and that’s the problem for Jupiterian INFJs.

We can create our own values, but I still think there is no substitute for the non-creative act of discovering god. Rather than being god-like in our creative powers.

We don’t want to be god. We want the all-father, the heavenly protector. And the thing is that this exists. God exists. But we became impressed with our ability to map out the heavens and everything else, down to a digital Sanskrit.

But we are not happy, and we are not holy.

I love this scene in THE DOORS movie where this “two-bit actor” is telling Jim Morrison that his career is finished because he is so fat and drunken. I reproduce the dialogue between them below the video.

Actor: You tested all the limits: fame, fucking, money…what you gonna do when the music’s over, when you’re too fat and old to go out on stage, what you gonna do for Act 3, puke on Heaven’s Door?

Jim Morrison: Listen you two-bit fucking actor, you underestimate the audience…

Actor: Face it Jim, you’re not gonna be remembered.

Morrison: You think all they want is two cars and a house, but you’re wrong, you know what they want?

Actor: No, tell me.

Morrison: You really wanna know what they want?

Actor: Yeah, tell me!

Morrison: Something sacred. That’s what they want. Something sacred.
